The Owner

Julie M. Armenta M.A. Educational & Family Specialist

I am the Founder and Educational & Family Specialist at Armenta Learning Academy. After 10 years in public and private schools, I saw a need to make a place for students who don't fit into the "normal" school system. I opened Armenta Learning Academy in 1989 and we've been in business nearly 40 years.

I hold a Bachelor's in Psychology, teaching credentials, a Master's in Education, and I'm completing my Doctorate in Education. I'm also a certified counselor for students and families.

Years ago, I started a shelter for abused and abandoned teens in Chula Vista that's still running today. I'm finishing my book, Success for Every Child, a guide for parents navigating social, academic, behavioral, and family challenges.

I stay connected with organizations focused on exceptional children, behavioral disorders, dyslexia, and autism. I also volunteer with groups like Families Forward, Olive Crest, and The Joyful Child Foundation.

At Armenta Learning Academy, I'm here for specialized student support, counseling, consultations, and family workshops.
My goal is simple: educate, motivate, inspire, and empower every family and child I work with.

Thank you for trusting me with your child. It's truly an honor.
